Watched Watts burn from the living room window, stepped over hippies sleeping on the Sunset Strip on the way to school. Fragments of Dad's past fell in and out of our lives, The Hollywood Ten, Apache Indians, FBI agents, ballerinas, drug addled poets and futurists. Public school, training for prison but better than it is today. Learning to use a dusty 16mm Bolex and seeing the magic of movies from the inside. Street racing. Art School. Bottom feeder in the movie biz. Found Radio Drama, Audio Drama, whatever. 70 shows and counting. Magazine publishing, paperbacks, hardbacks, art director, editor, ghost writer. Back to movies.
