Thanks for the feedback, everyone! After all your positive comments, I thought, ‘okay, definitely navy,’ and then the doubt set in. This is my first jacket choosing all the details and it’s not easy! I’m positive that I’m overthinking every detail, but that doesn’t keep me from continuing to...
Hi gentlemen,
I'm working on an Aero Premier Highwayman in russet badalassi, and I am trying to decide on stitch color. I think olive drab, brown, and rust are all solid options with subtly different looks. I have olive drab on my brown FQHH CXL Hooch Hauler and I really like it, but I want to...
I live in a place where the temperature can swing a lot in a day, and I also tend to run cold and so I’m trying to find the sweet spot where I can wear the jacket across various temps but still stay warm enough when it gets cold. Thanks for your thoughts on this!
I would second @photo2u ’s mentioned of Thedi. I have a car coat coming from Thedi in deerskin which I am very excited about, but you could also get it in badalassi, which Theodoros carries. It’s the MTC-1279122:

He’s got a number of other 3/4...
What makes VIcenza, sheep and goat warmer leathers, in your experience? Would you consider Badalassi (or other cowhides other than CXL), deerskin, or other horsehides (not CXL) to be warm?
Thanks! I’m experiencing the cold conductivity of CXL that you’ve mentioned before with my FQHH Hooch Hauler and thought your approach with the moleskin sounded like a nice way to counter balance that.
I have a pair of Chelseas coming. They didn’t have my size in the Goodyear welted Chelsea and I love the convenience of a Chelsea having two small kids. I’m hoping to get them this month or next. I’ve been eyeing their Chukka boots too!
Thanks! They’re Origo Adventurer boots and they’re really fun to wear. Barefoot shoes are what actually got me interested in leather, in particular having to choose from Gaucho Ninja’s many many options for their bespoke boots.
And I totally agree about not needing more than this jacket. In my...
Here's mine in brown CXL FQHH on a cloudy day. It's my first proper leather jacket and I love it! I've been wearing it about a week and it's breaking in nicely.
Those are both beautiful colors. I really like the two tone brown and the cordovan from Rugged West. I have a fit jacket coming from Thurston Brothers for a Premier Highwayman (inspired by your two PHWMs @MrProper !) in Chestnut Badalassi so I'll get a chance to try that out. In the meantime...
Thanks @3.14nche , @MrProper and @4444Design for the photos of your jackets in different lighting. It makes such a difference! I agree with @TartuWolf that the cloudy/rainy day version is my favorite, and close to what I am going for. I live in Colorado (US) which is pretty sunny, so I might be...
