I went pinnacle horsehide and love it. Note that currently Pinnacle is offered in Congnac, Black and Brown only.
My fit jacket was Badalassi and it was heavy duty and smelled and looked absolutely heavenly.

That's because all CXL, except natural, has only a surface level dye to the leather, it's not dyed through.
A bootmaker described CXL as "almost painted leather" as the dye doesn't penetrate very deep. It's also a pretty soft leather so it scuffs easily but those scuffs are easy to buff out...

Over the moon with this jacket. Fits well, looks and smells outstanding. Only reason it doesn't fit perfectly Is because I accidentally got fatter Well dieting will fix that.
The pinnacle brown horsehide is great, very well cut, almost no blemished anywhere...

Interesting that they'll be seemingly trying to thicken up Pinnacle for batch #2 including Brown.
I'm not complaining at all even then, the first batch was said to be shooting for 1.1-1.3mm in thickness so ~1.2 overall.
