A jacket that Scott or Shackleton would have been proud to use, this old school natural cotton fabric is waterproof and breathable and doesn't make a sound (so great for those times you need to be 'very' silent). Ventile was first produced during WWII by the British for aircrews flying over open water. It would increase their survival rate when ditching in the sea, due to its amazing properties. A real 'old school' and 'Boys Own' British fabric that takes the outdoor elements 'head on' and still comes out looking good. Sadly Barbour haven't produced "The Endurance' for 25 to 30 years now, as the fabric price and the cost of construction became uneconomical.
