Beautiful. Looks to be in great condition, like all the hats I see in your amazing collection. What is an old type of wind cord? I don’t see a button, so the only thing I can think of is one with a loop to attach to a button rather than a button to attach to the lapel.Echter Borsalino "Export Qualität" "Ecosca ", FP 5 1/2, possibly mid to later 1950s. The "Export Qualität" designation was added in the mid 1950s and eventually "Echter" is dropped. This is a "Camber" form which was typical of the time and place. As expected great Felt quality that easily dry creases. The wind cord is of the old type with a mid width Band and thinner Brim binding. Excellent overall condition.

Thanks! Yes, the wind cord doesn't have a button and the cord has no elasticity. What's funny is I don't have an example of a German market Borsalino with a newer type wind cord.Beautiful.
