Hey All,
I think this site is Japanese? Though the prices seem more in line with something from China. Anyway, I immediately thought of @ton312 when I saw these wool jackets, but I know he's not alone in his love for them. A small would still fit me fine according to their measurement...
Thought some of you guys might dig these. Josh at Swankys has brought out a new jacket style in blue, grey, black and cream with a fleck:
As you can see it's a half belt with an inverted pleat up the back, like a 40s-early 50s gab jacket. I have a couple of shirts from Swankys and they're...
I was just perusing Aero's website because, hey, there are days I just like to drool over leather jackets and pretend I have money to actually buy more of 'em. Anyways, I've always fancied that one day, I'd get a Cropduster, 'cause it's different with the elasticated waist treatment and 2...
We're all familiar with black and brown leather jackets in the Golden Era, especially the brown shades from dark seal all the way through to russet, "cognac" and tan. But what about other colours? I have seen catalogues with two tones, even black with white panels. Were there...
YOWZA! I saw this and I thought who else can I torture with wanting yet another leather jacket. And of course, it's you guys! Enjoy:

Sad tale folks, I ordered a repro 1940s watch from Circa back on September 13. So far, in spite of trying to contact them on three different e-mails and calling them ("number not listed") I've got nothing. Looks to be a scam site or some such. Avoid.
So I was perusing the Schott site just for the fun of it, like window shopping only online, and I saw a couple of jackets that I thought looked cool. Of course I had to share my thoughts with my fellow enthusiasts here, 'cause only you guys understand.
The first is called an Express jacket...
Another suit I was going to have altered but thought it best not to mess with it. This one is a bit too big for me. Outstanding condition with NO moth holes. Beautiful stripes in the fabric with a background colour that is blue-grey and teal half-lining.
The jacket measures 21.5" armpit to...
Hello Gentlemen, please check out the suits I'm posting in the Classifieds today and tomorrow. Both are in mint condition, NO moth holes whatsoever and look outstanding. The first one I've posted is a three-piece black beltback suit, quite a small size, and tomorrow I will be putting up a more...
Before placing this suit on an auction site, I thought I'd offer it to Loungers first. I was initially going to have it tailored to fit me (let the trousers and waistcoat out, sleeves shortened) but decided to leave it as is. NO moth bites, it looks mint with the sole exception of one cracked...
I was home the other day and thought I'd get some photos in the sun of the patina on my ol' faithful jackets. First up is my FQHH Aero Halfbelt. Each wrinkle, mark and colir variation tells the story of an adventure enjoyed:
Hi! My name's Harrison, but folks also call me Harry. I'm four years old and I'm going to kindergarten next year. My Daddy is Benny Holiday, he's been a member here for ages but he doesn't get to post much anymore. He sure does love seeing all your jackets though!
A couple of years ago my...
Hmmm, what think ye, Loungers? My daughter's keen to dig it, but I can't get past David Suchet as Poirot; I can't imagine anyone capturing the character better, right down to the small inflections and the little OCD touches. There's still the period setting to admire, I suppose, but the story's...
For something different, a bit of a challenge with history involved, I became fascinated with the language of my forebears - Old English. Not Shakespeare's English, though filtering some of Old English through the language as it was spoken in Elizabethan times can help you understand it better ...
I'm sharing some photos I posted on the Thurston Bros/Insurrection thread here of my long-awaited acquisition, an Aero Sunburst in Red Fox medium-weight steerhide. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy molding it to my form; it's not stiff like horsehide, per se, but it will still need a good breaking...
I don't know if any other gents here have had issues with William Lennon & Co, but I ordered a pair of their 78PTC boots back on January 2 and was informed that my boots would take 8-10 weeks to make and send out. 14 weeks and 4 e-mails later, I've received only one reply from "Libs Slattery"...
Some photos of the jacket Brad Pitt wears in some scenes of his latest flick. Reminiscent of an Aero Pioneer in suede with a leather Seabiscuit collar. Reckon they could do it in suede too. Very nice.
Heads up ladies and gents, I just received an e-mail from Everything Australia that they have a 20% off sale at the moment on a huge amount of stock, including hats, if if you're looking to buy a new Akubra, now's the time.
Well I had a gig at Throttle Roll in Marrickville on Sunday afternoon, a huge bike show with lots of British bikes and custom jobs. Some neat Triumphs and Nortons there, not enough BSAs, Ariels or Matchless models to be seen though. Anyway, I lobbed out the old Aero for the day, it's like a...
