Aero Sheene - What did you learn from your order?

I've had this in mind for the past few days so decided to test it out on my weekly burn through the city to Bondi Beach for a Sunday morning coffee watching the sun rise.
I wore my "new" Aero cafe Racer and was expecting the wind and ballooning as I hit the cross city tunnel and the bondi overpass but didn't notice a thing, no wind through the front zip, no ballooning of the back. Granted I was only doing about 90, does it only occur at real high speeds?
mmm, the way they mount the zipper is different and maybe the tiny front wind flaps you have on the outside are enough to prevent balooning.
On my Dominator it does it from pretty low speed, i would say 60mph...
Looking at the pictures of it, it seems the dominator has zero windprotection over the zipper, whereas the aeros do have a little bit of protection:
I didn't think it would be enough to make a difference, but maybe it is.

I have a sample. I am pretty sure it is the same thickness as the other FQHH samples I had, but I don't have the other samples any longer to compare. So a confident yes, to answer your question. Same brown core as others.

Looking for thoughts on the body length of a Sheene vs Cafe Racer. Should they fit the same or should the Sheene be a touch longer?

Leave as is. That one looks like the perfect length to me.
if you sit rather straight on your bike and the jacket is a bit roomy on the back, it might collect wind.
but if you ride in leaning position,or the back of the jacket presses flat against your back from stretching out your arms, I don't see how it would collect wind, as I imagine it would escape from the bottom of the jacket .
But I guess having some darts / pleats on the back panel or have a cinched waist or even a full action back could be easier to collect wind than a simple sleeve construction or small gusset would.

ProteinNerd, I'd go with 25 or a tiny bit more. Not because I think the jacket on the photos is too short, because I don't, looks perfect to me - but just in case. Lower back creases take away considerably from the length.

Jacket length looks good. Are the length of your sleeves a tad bit long? They are creasing a bit.

Yes this was bought off someone else and the sleeves are a bit longer than I would specify. They are good for on the bike but the Sheene will be a casual jacket and not a bike jacket.

Hmm if that's the case, then body length is good bit sleeves should be just abit shorter. I think the general body fit is good though!

I have a Seal Vicenza from one of the first orders. Love the jacket and it is still my best fitting one.
1. No shoulder gussets for me. It is not a riding jacket and the gussets only add weight and make the jacket look busy on the back.
2. Did not add any length but did have Aero add 0.5" on either side on the bottom. I am 5' 9".
3. I currently have standard sleeves with the zipper. But if I were to do it again I would just get the regular sleeves as I always leave the zipper open on mine.
4. Have zippered pockets and no interior pockets.
5. I have the August collar and I love it. It works for me on my frame but might look small on bigger guys.
6. No windflap. I like a little symmetry on my jackets when the jacket is unzipped.
7. I have the two piece arms and the sleeves on mine are definitely slimmer.
8. I have the cotton drill lining throughout. If I were to do it again, I will get something cooler in the body and have the cotton drill just in the sleeves.
