What Avatar are you wearing today?

Since the New Year I've noticed a lot of you are changing your avatar pictures. I got caught up in it too, but I think I'm good for awhile now.
Why did you pick the photo you did to represent you?
Other than Nick123, how often do you change your photo?

Mine was 5 years...until this month.
:)

When Zombie_61 came up with that brilliant caricature of an avatar of his, it reminded me that I had something similar. Last year, at a classic car show, where most car owners wouldn't even consider dressing up to match the image of their car, the organiser, a talented artist, told me how impressed he was with the way that I dressed and could he sketch me with my car? Later, he completed the image onto canvas, before using the end result to advertise forthcoming events.

My avatar is a T-34B which was used as the introductory trainer while I was in the US Navy years ago. For 2 1/2 years I almost lived in that airplane. It was safe and very forgiving, unlike the next step in the training command, the T-28 that was routinely associated with fatal accidents. I think the current trainer is the T-1. Perhaps some of the active military pilots here can enlighten us more.

<- I... honestly don't know. I just really like her.

Agreed though, it does get confusing at times, as there are a few nicknames I often mix up and have to rely on the avatar photos to make sure who's who (I'm really bad with names, and I mean, medical term bad). I'll try to stick with Joan to avoid confusion.

Had to Google that, nothing against the genre of music, although it's not for me. In my newspaper it said that after Adele, Ed Sheeran was the most popular singer in the UK. Had to Google him too.

I find changing the picture confuses me a bit too.
I get it though, a kind of evolution.
I started off not knowing squat about leather jackets per se, and my avatar monkey was in way over his head. Five years in, I like this "frustrated Everyman" guy. Maybe he was some sort of basement HAM radio enthusiast or tinkerer. Or secretly planning to take over the world.
I DO miss Belushi though Superfluous, but Nick's fluctuation makes more sense now :)

<<< That is me, after getting my new chairs for the yard and my newer GW Ventura, posing. It fairly represents me here so it will stay for a while...I too like consistent Avatars since I often use them to recognize who is posting what. Gotta be more careful with guys who rotate a lot ;)
If you really want to be a ***k, use someone else's!
