Hey everyone... so I decided to apply the gold stars to my Brown Perfecto 618...and I think all is well. I pierced the leather by pressing down with my thumb. Used my thumb nail to bend the prongs back... then used a jewelers tool (end of tiny hammer) to further press the prongs down. Done...
Just got the stars from Schott...very fast delivery. Took only 2 days to receive the complimentary gold stars. On the fence if I should carefully apply them myself or just send to Schott.
Hey Peter... Jerri is actually out of the office until next week. Another rep "Denise" answered my questions, and said I can probably take it to a shoe repair shop if I don't have Schott do it. Normally, I'd want Schott to do ANY work on that jacket...but 4 weeks?? Maybe I'll wait until Jerri...
Hey Peter...hope all is well. Know anywhere that can put stars on the 618 I have? Schott will take a little too long... like 4 weeks. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
My new brown 618 is breaking in great! Getting more range of motion all around, and the jacket "lays" a bit better on my body now... not as rigid as it was. Still a ways to go with the break in... but it's feeling better every time I put it on. I'll send pics soon. ; )
Thanks!... it's nice to hear folks providing good info/input, and compliments here in the Fedora Lounge! I did see the collars online... something I'll consider for the cold weather for sure. If you don't mind, send a pic when your collar arrives! Thanks for the note Madhouse27!
Sounds like a nice trench! I suppose the Perfecto can keep me somewhat warm, but if I'm outside for an extended period of time, I think I'd be a bit cold. Maybe not. I'll guess I'll have to try!
The snap for the buckle is not a "must" for me... I think I just like the idea of the buckle...
