    Johnson Leather Jacket

You won't regret it, they do great work and no need for fancy, their basic patterns are great and their basic leathers are well-selected, the 3 oz naked cowhide has an awesome hand to it. At 6'4 I'm assuming a XL and possibly an extra inch in the sleeves? Just mail them though, they are very...

    Johnson Leather Jacket

I am 1.78m tall, currently 82kg, this is a size medium.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Thanks for the kind words! I guess this actually does fit as intended (for the most part, sleeves definitely atleast 1“ too long), a size down and it would be tight at the bottom and layering barely possible anymore and I like to believe these 50s half-belts were worn as overcoats more so than...

    Johnson Leather Jacket

Stock size, stock leather. These run at a fraction of a new Aero and I like it alright. The „designated bakery-walker“ hair-do comes free of charge, too.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Received this used Lost Worlds Russet Test yesterday. Mixed bag. The leather color ain‘t for me, the sleeves are too long for me and sleeves overall quite tunnely wide. One thing to note: This size 42 has measurements identical to two of my Johnson leather jackets and yet it feels much larger...

Hi new here. Is wearing a leather jacket basically an invitation for trouble?

I‘ve gotten in more trouble wearing my non leather jackets than any of my leather jackets. Wearing a Levis corduroy trucker doesn‘t work in your favor with the „randomized“ control checks at European airports… nor does wearing a M-65 at „randomized“ police controls. Meanwhile, I had no...

New forum member brand (Rugged West)

You can speed up break in process by putting the jacket in the tumble dryer, put in a dozen tennis balls with it and let it get a good massage. I have seen a docu about some japanese outfit that does just that to pre-age their jackets. Best way is physical labour in the jacket but with the...

Some fit pics and comparison of a few new and vintage brands

The Schott and the snug Brooks look fantastic. The others are fine too but if you ever start selling, keep these two!

FS: Lost Worlds cotton duck jacket size S

backlength is deceiving with lost worlds jackets because the collar sits lower on the neck than jackets of other makers, especially aero. a lw with same backlength as aero will fit longer.

Thirsty old cal - how to nourish?

I use Lexol on all my jackets, think it is oil-based? I no longer use wax based conditioners; I had jackets squeaking afterwards, I‘m assuming because of friction of the wax based finish.

    Field Leathers

My point still stands, I‘m sorry you are so emotionally aggrevated about this all, I hope you get your jacket soon and can still enjoy it.

    Field Leathers

My point is and still stands that order number does not equal order of production and that production order is subject to other circumstances. I‘m not even saying he rightfully finished that other order before yours because I don‘t have insight in his production process but neither do you. If...

    Field Leathers

Order number means order number, not production number. Productions depends on availability of materials etc, ofcourse he would finish a later order if he doesnt have the necessary hardware and leather to finish the previous one.

Questions about a thrifted 50s (?) 613HH Perfecto I picked up a few weeks back.

Cool find. New zipper installed by a professional who doesnt botcher the jacket in the process should run at around 150 USD, you will get more than that re-selling, little you can do wrong here.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

The way that size 36 fits you is spot on my definition of a perfect cross zip fit, that narrow waist and the wide shoulders look amazing. Perfect jacket.
